Evan in Paradise, day #12...
...did not start out good. We went to Castles again...which is a fabulous way to spend a morning...but neither child thought so today for some reason. They both had melt downs. And I mean melt downs. Evan cried so much and so hard his eyes were nearly swollen shut. So we went home early, put them down for naps early and hoped for a better afternoon. And we sure got it!!! We hit turtle bay after naps and they were so good. E and I swam a bunch and they played in the sand and it was definitely better than the morning. We got another chocolate haupia pie to take home and also a piece of pumpkin haupia pie to eat on the way. Oh man was it good. I'm making one when I get back to idaho for sure. YUMMY!!! We rested a little while the kids had their afternoon siesta and then I met up with a couple of really good friends that live out here and that I haven't seen in forever. It was really great to catch up!!! Thanks Kris and Betsy and Wes. I miss you guys all the time. After that we bathed the kids, recruited Matty's sister Rachel to babysit, and we went to the temple. I loved it. The Laie temple was just completely renovated and it's just beautiful inside!!! I'm so glad I got to experience it. A very fun filled, busy day...
